Burgess GAA Club Notes – March 14

Senior Hurling:

Our senior hurlers recorded a fine win over Ballina on Sunday last in an enjoyable open game of Hurling. The final score of 1-28 to 1-17 got our season off to a winning start which we hope to continue next weekend when we will face Mullinahone at home in the next round of the league. I sure we can count on all of your support for this game. The day and time of the game have yet to be confirmed so check the fixtures section of the Guardian and see the clubs facebook, clubify app and twitter for up-to-date fixtures and results.

Meet The Coaches:

The juvenile club held their meet the coaches night on Tuesday last where parents and coaches of our various underage teams had the opportunity to get to know each other and offer feedback ahead of the season. We would like ot thank all who participated.

Table Quiz:

We will be holding a table quiz on Friday 1st of April to raise funds in aid of Crumlin childrens hospital and the cardiac unit. This is instead of the cancelled St Stephens day game. More details to be confirmed.

Club Lotto:

There was no winner of last week’s draw held in Molly Ban’s, Nenagh. The numbers drawn were 15, 21, 25 & 26. This week’s draw was held in Reidy’s, Newtown. The Jackpot was €6,450. Next week’s Draw will be in Barry’s, Newtown on Monday 21st March.
