Tipperary Footballers take full advantage against Clare

An excellent result in Sean Treacy Park on Sunday last saw the Tipperary Senior Footballers take full points in defeating Clare 2-7 to 1-7 and with 3 points in the bag out of 2 league matches they sit second in the table behind Kildare in the early stages. Despite the difficult conditions Tipp never faltered in their desire and in the end got the result they deserved. With a three week break now, next up is a visit to Westmeath on February 28th for round 3.

Incidentally, the two teams mentioned Kildare and Westmeath were both relegated from Division 2 last year and while Kildare have won both of their opening games, Westmeath have lost both of theirs. A tricky assignment awaits Tipp away from home the next day therefore as Westmeath will look to get the wagons back on track.
