GAA Scene Review – Tipperary get past brave Louth

The Tipperary footballers had a one-point win, 0-11 to 1-7, in their Allianz Division 3 round 2 tie with Louth on Sunday last. They now have three points after two games and head north on Sunday next, February 9th to take on Derry in Celtic Park where throw-in will be at 1pm. Derry were defeated by Down last weekend and sit mid-table behind Tipperary on one point following their first round draw at home against Leitrim.

Tipperary and Derry met a championship qualifier in 2016 with Tipperary shading a magnificent contest by a single point on a 1-21 to 2-17 score-line, Kevin O’Halloran (Portroe) the Tipp goal scorer that day.

We send best wishes to the team on Sunday and to all Tipperary supporters making the journey.

The referee will be Jerome Henry (Maigh Eo).
