Emergency Works Funding Approved for St. Anne’s Secondary School, Tipperary Town – Lowry

Earlier this year Deputy Michael Lowry facilitated a meeting between the management of St. Anne’s Secondary School and officials from the Department of Education.

At that meeting, the School Board of Management outlined numerous issues in regard to the layout of the school and the problems created by increased student numbers.

I’m now delighted to confirm that the Department of Education has responded favourably, and a very substantial grant has been sanctioned.

The School Board of Management can now proceed to tender for extensive works. These will include reconfiguration of the internal layout and design of the school, removal of boundary walls, enlargement of corridors and general improvements to the social area of the school
