Calls for parking to be removed from Parnell Street, Thurles

Cllrs Jim Ryan and David Doran have tabled a joint motion for Wednesday’s Council meeting. The two Thurles-Templemore Councillors are requesting that parking be removed from Parnell Street in Thurles.

Speaking on the motion, Cllr David Doran stated “It is my firm belief that this will help in some way to alleviate traffic congestion in the Town. This motion is expected to be put to a vote at this meeting on Wednesday and obviously if it’s supported by the members we will in my opinion be helping the traffic flow through Thurles in some way while we wait for the much needed Ring Road”.

Cllr Jim Ryan stated “Both myself and David Doran have a joint motion looking for parking to be taken off Parnell Street in Thurles. This motion will be discussed at next weeks council meeting. We both feel that this action would help the traffic flow along this very busy street”.
