St. Mary’s Clonmel Club Notes – Jan 17th

Committee News.
The first meeting of 2017 returned Michael Ryan and Tony Shelley as mentors to the Intermediate team along with Peter Egan and Billy Carroll. We wish the lads well for the season ahead. The Juvenile officers, Brendan Cagney and Paddy Bond were returned unopposed with both gentlemen hoping to build on a successful 2016. Chairman Kevin Leahy wished all involved in the club a happy and healthy New Year and signed off by commending the club spirit so evident in 2016 and urged members to continue the good work being done in the club.
Dinner Dance.
Our celebratory dinner dance takes place in the Clonmel Park Hotel on Friday 3rd February at 7:30pm. A four course meal and music by Loose Cannons will be the backdrop to what promises to be an excellent evenings entertainment. Tickets are €35 and can be purchased in O’Sullivan Insurances or from Brendan Cagney. All-Ireland winning manager Liam Sheedy will be guest of honour and will be presenting the medals to the Minor and U21 players on the night.
Divisional Trials.
Trials are ongoing at present for south teams at U14/15/16 grades. We have a large number of boys participating which augers well. Best of luck to all taking part. Updates on trial times can be sourced from our social media pages.
Membership.
With 2017 now in full flow, our membership drive is now underway. Once again, our subscriptions remain unchanged at €50 per family and €40 per single member. Payments can be made to registrar David O Donnell or any committee member.
