Corpus Christi Procession
This year, we are invited to join the Polish Community who celebrate Corpus Christi in our Parish on Sunday 3rd June from 1.30pm in the Church of the Resurrection. Many of our wonderful pictures along the sacristy walls recall the “good old days” of the processions taking place around the town. The Corpus Christi Procession is still occurring across many towns and villages, and this year, we hope to give some wonderful memories to everyone of the greatest gift we have in our faith, that of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. For this year, we will gather after the Polish Mass at 1.30pm in the Church of the Resurrection – and process outside the car park area stopping at various stations on the church grounds. We will be inviting in a special way, the boys and girls who are making their First Holy Communion to join us and lead the procession. There will be prayers and hymns in English and Polish and it will be a real celebration of our faith. Everyone is welcome to join in the procession from 1.30pm and take part in this wonderful tradition. The Polish Mass in the Church of the Resurrection is at 12.30pm – everyone welcome. 1.30pm – Everyone& gathers into the Church of the Resurrection for the Procession
PLEASE NOTE: As the Procession is occurring in the Car park – the main car park in the church will be closed.
Please park in the street areas nearby.
Thank you to Kirsten Fuller who spoke at our Masses last weekend.
