Scaffolding to be removed from Rock of Cashel

Good news this morning for Cashel as the process to remove the scaffolding around the Rock of Cashel is to start today.

The removal process will take around 10 weeks and the majority of the scaffolding should be down in time for Patrick’s Day.

There will be restricted access to some areas of the Rock of Cashel, including Cormacs Chapel and the Cathedral, during this time.

In addition, visitors should be aware that general access at the Rock of Cashel may be restricted during 2017.
Visitors with mobility issues are advised to check with the site prior to travelling.
