Ryan calls on HSE to act in recruitment of GP for Thurles

Cllr Jim Ryan has today called on the HSE to take action in the search of a new GP for Thurles. This new GP will be required due to the impending departure of the long serving Dr Healy.

Speaking to Tipperary Times, Cllr Ryan stated “I have been in constant contact with the HSE in relation to the appointment of a new doctor in Thurles after the retirement of Dr Healy. The HSE have advertised the position over the last few weeks without success thus far.”

Speaking on the ongoing talks with the HSE, Ryan stated that the HSE will indeed continue their efforts to find a replacement for Dr Healy. “There is another recruitment drive started and the HSE state that they are doing all they can to have a new doctors practice open in Thurles asap.”
