Over 7,000 people descended on Roscrea this weekend at the 5th Annual “A Taste of Roscrea Christmas Festival”. The event ran for 4 days over the weekend with demonstrations by Andrew Rudd, carol singing along with various exhibitors show casing local produce.
The success of an event like this depends on the huge support from the local community and further afield.Events like this showcase the strength of community based initiatives.
Speaking at the conclusion of the event in Roscrea, local Cllr Michael Smith stated “As the snow begins to melt on The Taste of Roscrea’s colourful Christmas market and festivities, my heartfelt thanks goes to everyone who worked so hard to make this years event the biggest and best ever. The success of an event like this depends on and has received huge support from the local community and further afield. I am immensely proud and grateful for this support.”
