Over a quarter of a million euro worth of drugs have been seized in Roscrea. Three Lithuanian men are in Garda custody in connection with the discivery.
The Drug & Organised Crime Unit and the Roscrea Divisional Drugs Unit discovered a package containing approximately 7 kg of herbal cannabis was intercepted at a premises in the North Tipp town.
The drugs, which had originated in Spain have an estimated street value of €140,000. In a follow up search of another address in Roscrea a package of 5 kg of herbal cannabis worth €100,000 was also seized.
Three Lithuanian men, including one in their late teens and two in their mid twenties were arrested.
They are been held at various Garda stations across Tipperary under drug trafficking legislation.
