Time Bistro Thurles has long been known for good food and good service, but 2015 hopes to be the year where that is changed to Great food and Great service. The restaurant reopened under new management February 5th 2015 and has already been receiving rave reviews on their Tripadvisor and Facebook profiles.

Time Bistro re-opened its doors under the watchful eye of Danny Desmond. He is a 20 year veteran in high end catering in Ireland and England. He has also worked as a consultant in restaurant brand creation, delivery of service, Front of House training and menu creation. He has managed restaurants for Richard Corrigan and Dylan McGrath, and has earned multiple awards for “Best Customer Service” and “Best Restaurant”. He has been the manager of restaurants that have been recommended by Michelin and awarded Michelin Stars. Danny is hugely knowledgeable about food and wine and loves to share his knowledge with those interested. His passion without doubt is Customer Service and he loves creating a comfortable and memorable dining experience for his guests.

Leading the new Time Bistro kitchen team is Head Chef Gavin Cribbin. He has also devoted his live to his chosen career working under the first English Chef to win a Michelin star – Richard Sheppard – when he was only 17. He then went on to work in multiple high-end restaurants in London before returning to Ireland and joining forces with his brother Chef Lorcan Cribbin in Bang Cafe Dublin for 10 years and achieved a Michelin Bib Gourmand here. From there he worked in the world acclaimed Ballyfin Demense and held the Head Chef Role in the Michelin recommended Preston House. He has had the honour of cooking for Bill Clinton, Bon Jovi, Bono but by far the most honourable chef role he has had to date was cooking for the Queen of England with Ross Lewis at the state Dinner hosted in Dublin Castle.

Time Bistro serves dinner on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday Nights. Sunday lunch is served from 12.30pm to 2.30pm. Private parties can be catered for any day of the week and a dedicated reservations manager is on board to help with any queries. An early bird menu is available all evening on Thursday, up to 7pm on Friday and Saturday nights and all day Sunday. A special “Tasty Thursday Treat” is available every Thursday.
