The company announced its annual results at the co-op’s Head Office in Nenagh yesterday which shows a turnover of €220.5 million representing growth of 19 percent.

Announcing the annual results of the Tipperary company, Chief Executive Conor Ryan said it is the first time the co-op sales have exceeded the €200 million mark.

The figures from 2013 show that the firm’s profit before tax was €1.8 million compared with €0.4 million in 2012.

Sales in the Dairy Division grew by 25% while the Agri-Trading Division increased to €70.6 million.

The CEO says that the growth was driven by both higher returns from the market place and increased milk throughput.

Mr Ryan also pointed to the successful re-branding of the Arrabawn range part of the company’s results.

Arrabawn Co-op covers most of County Tipperary and Galway along with parts of Clare, Laois, Offaly, Westmeath, Roscommon, and Limerick.
