Successful re-branding aids improvement.
The company announced its annual results at the co-op’s Head Office in Nenagh yesterday which shows a turnover of €220.5 million representing growth of 19 percent.
Announcing the annual results of the Tipperary company, Chief Executive Conor Ryan said it is the first time the co-op sales have exceeded the €200 million mark.
The figures from 2013 show that the firm’s profit before tax was €1.8 million compared with €0.4 million in 2012.
Sales in the Dairy Division grew by 25% while the Agri-Trading Division increased to €70.6 million.
The CEO says that the growth was driven by both higher returns from the market place and increased milk throughput.
Mr Ryan also pointed to the successful re-branding of the Arrabawn range part of the company’s results.
Arrabawn Co-op covers most of County Tipperary and Galway along with parts of Clare, Laois, Offaly, Westmeath, Roscommon, and Limerick.
The company has 940 milk suppliers with an average herd size of 60 cows.
